Tackling microfibre pollution through science, policy and innovation
A framework for Canadian Leadership
Microfibre pollution has become a global conservation and public health concern, prompting a wave of research related to its source, transport, fate and effects, as well as mitigation strategies.
Funded by Environment and Climate Change Canada, Ocean Diagnostics and Raincoast Conservation Foundation together have released a report on the state of microfibre pollution in Canada and the globe. The report and accompanying summary report outline solutions to support the government, textile industry and consumers to reduce microfibre pollution in decision-making, sustainability planning and household behaviours.
