October 7, 2020 - Ocean Diagnostics is a proud recipient of Environment Canada's Zero Plastic Waste Initiative funding. Minister Wilkinson announced over $2M to support 14 new Canadian-lead plastic reduction initiatives. Environment Canada is supporting local solutions to remove plastic pollution from the environment.
With the funds received, Ocean Diagnostics will develop and test citizen science microplastics sampling protocols for nearshore surface waters and marine systems, including technology for the quantification and characterization of marine microplastics and their deployment via citizen science on Vancouver Island.
